I prefer animals to be alive and hopping around the woods but I'm strangely drawn to these creatures made by a French couple from Frédérique Morrel. They are life-seize sculptures of animals, mostly deer, covered in vintage needlework sourced from all over France. Each one is hand-made and unique, some of them with real fur, antlers and hoofs. I find them beautiful and creepy at the same time. Some behind the scenes photos of how each piece is made can be viewed on the site. A strange and intriguing people those Morrel's are...
