chair love

we've acquired quite a few new/old chairs recently.

1. we go this one from shaun and kezia. i've been eyeing it for a while and last week shaun just gave it to me! i hope it wasn't a drunken mistake, and now you're regretting it. thank you!
this chair is kind of pretending to be a saarinen tulip chair, but it's ok, we all pretend sometimes. it's our new office chair and it's super comfortable.

2. this chair was very sad and old, covered in torn green pleather. we upholstered it and now it's pretty. leo is a very nice old chap and if you need any furniture fixed up please call him (011 837 3526).

3. this one is from decade/wasteland and it has a twin sister. kind of scandinavian but not really. would look really nice with a cat sleeping on it (bitty?).

in my dreams my bum would have a choice between any of these eames fiberglass shell chairs:

until then i'll love my own rehabilitated, adopted and rescued pretend design classics.

Red duikers

I bough this beautiful fabric from amazing Heather Moore or Skinny Laminx. I was super excited to open her package on Sunday morning. Now I need to upholster my chair and just sit in it and be happy with little red antilopes jumping all over me. Can't wait!

goodbye sweet friend

this is bitty. she came to us and we looked after her for a few days. we didn't know who she belonged to or where she lived but were happy to have a new warm creature in our home.
terence came up with her name because she was always trying to suck on things... i think she might have been separated from her mom too early.

then we found out that bitty's owners moved away to rustenburg in january and took her with them. this clever and brave kitten came back all the way to killarney so she's not just any silly cat that exposes her cat bum way too much. she's super smart and amazing and i miss her. i keep hearing her meows outside our door. she's back with her owners now but if she decides to embark on her journey again and reaches our flat, we're keeping her!

we had a brief but very meaningful friendship bitty. goodbye
